CREATIVE ENTERPRISE'S MODULE
Personal Branding Project
👁️🗨️ NOTES: This page was made for Creative Enterprise Module. Follow the path of Prey, she was making this project as an Art Direction project. Personally, I wanted to add this project to this blog and website because of the features of the project. As Prey treated the project as an Art Direction Project, I not yet decided on anything for this project, so I decided to put the work here as a milestone in this path going to my Final Major Project.
_Here are the parts that I put into the page:
-
Workshop: "Resume for Creative Industries with Rice Creative."
-
My new design for CV and Portfolio:
My 2020-2021 CV & Portfolio:

👁️🗨️ David's Advice:
-
Should create a website for my own work and for after graduation. 👉 Behance can be good but rethinking about it in the near future!
-
Should care about the space in the portfolio design. 👉 Over design elements!
-
"Stop thinking you are a student." 👉 Should be more professional and act like you have work in the industry for years.
👁️🗨️ To-do List:
✔️ Joining Workshop.
✔️ Research about types of Resume/ CV. 👉 Sketch and Design.
✔️ List out what I have to design in this package.
Resume for Creative Industries with Rice Creative:
👁️🗨️ Here is the video record the process of the workshop.
👁️🗨️ Down here is their website!! This is really cool because I could add it to my website!!
👁️🗨️ What I learn from the workshop:
-
Who will be the one that a creative agency looking for?
-
How to apply for a creative position? (This is the part that I care the most!)
-
Where to apply?
👁️🗨️ My note for CV and Portfolio:
👉 The Resume/ Curriculum Vitae:
_ The CV of a creative creates context and provides insights, yet it is usually not the biggest factor in the decision-making process. The best it can do is set (high) expectations, the worst it can do is (significantly) raise eyebrows.
👉 So what is looked at: (Resume/ Curriculum Vitae)
-
Education.
-
The reputation of previous companies.
-
Length of employment.
-
Achievements.
✔️ Remember not to: Make your skills or your design skill like this image.
That just only make misunderstanding or self-underestimate you in the eyes
of agencies. 👉

👉 The Portfolio:
_ This is probably my most important asset as I am mostly judged based on my previous work.
👉 So what is looked at: (The Portfolio)
-
(Consistency in) quality of the work.
-
Originality, Freshness.
-
Substance.
-
Versatility.
-
Technical skills.
-
Foundations.
-
Presentation.
✔️ Remember:
-
Even the best creative work can fall flat if not presented well.
-
Do the effort of creating appealing mock-ups or even shoot your best work.
-
Don't forget the presentation itself tells a lot about your storytelling skills.
-
To be neat and clean.
-
Every project needs to have a basic structure. Ex: Start with a little bit of explanation by the work itself then an overview of the products and the branding supplies to the products then photography of the websites or apps!
-
Be critical also! Be confident about the work you present. (ask yourself if it is the best work yet, if yes keep it, if no cut it out and if we don't have enough works? Make some good work, challenge yourself.
👁️🗨️ Notes:
_ There would be great if you have credits in your projects! It shows that you have a greater creative work as a team, a collaborative effort. Don't hesitate to credit others where due. It does not show your ability to work within a team but it also avoids setting wrong expectations!

👉 My Resume/Cv Design:
_So I haven't made a decision yet about my resume design. And I have a meeting with David which he advises me about researching into types of resume: "Chronological Resume"; "Functional Resume" and "Combination Resume." (I already experiment with the Combination Resume)
_ When we have a tutorial, David saw my design for this resume and he still advice me to use less design onto the resume. SO I wanted to follow Swiss design or Minimalism style for my resume and CV also.
